Tidersrums socken is well-preserved old wooded village, with one of Sweden’s oldest preserved wooden churches. The oldest parts are from the 13th century. At the cemetery, one of our country’s most famous writers, Olle Hedberg, rests. Other well-known people are a pair of the world’s strongest men, the brothers Magnus and Torbjörn Samuelsson. There are many cultural monuments such as grave fields, brickworks, sawmills, sources and much more at the Salvarp farm.
Directions:
From Linköping’s residence drive towards Kisa and then drive towards Eksjö. About 15 km southwest Kisa, turn left towards Ydrefors and Tidersrums church. If you come from Eksjö direction there will be a right turn on the above road. After about 1 km, the church passes and continues straight towards Ydrefors about 3 km. After passing the sign Färmestorp, and then after about 200 meters turn right at the sign Salvarp. Continue the way to the houses and you are in Salvarp. Find us here!
